Diamond – a European project to develop advanced perovskite photovoltaics combined with two-dimensional materials

Diamond (Ultra-stable, highly efficient, low-cost perovskite photovoltaics with minimised environmental impact) is a three-year project co-funded by the European Commission aiming to optimise materials and perovskite cell stacks to reach efficiencies exceeding the record values of silicon photovoltaics.

The project targets to develop novel hermetic encapsulation approaches and highly stable device designs, far beyond the state of the art. “This project will allow BeDimensional to advance its technological solutions for next-generation photovoltaics towards industrial application” says Francesco Bonaccorso co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of BeDimensional.

The project is coordinated by Fraunhofer ISE, encompassing 10 European partners from 7 different Countries. BeDimensional is the industrial partners for the development of materials for electrodes, interfaces and encapsulants.
