Abstract: SHINE PV aims at developing alternative technological paths to photovoltaic (PV) production for Silicon Heterojunction and TOPCon solar cells. Three steps in the back-end manufacturing will be covered: metallization, post-processing and interconnection.
Solar cell efficiency is expected to increase by 0.5% absolute versus the reference process with a simultaneous CoO reduction of 20%, due to reduced material costs and increased equipment productivity. The final goal is the development of advanced equipment and integrated innovative processes reaching TRL7, potentiating high volume manufacturing (HVM) and reinforcing the PV supply chain in EU.
