Abstract: PERSEUS aims to design and fabricate novel, biocompatible nanosystems based on 2D layers materials, for cancer theranostics. They will be activated by computer tomography (CT) scanners, i.e. irradiation with low energy X-rays, activating locally non-mutagenic oncotherapies, enabling us to reach deep-seated tumours that are currently inaccessible by visible or near-infrared light-based therapies.
